Accessibility Statement
Updated: 28th October 2025
Ellesmere Town Council is dedicated to ensuring the accessibility of the town council website to ensure that the site is made easier to navigate for people with disabilities to allow as many people as possible to be able to access the information we provide.
Our accessibility menu appears at the top of every page and provides users with a tool to customise the way the interact with the site and means users should be able to:
- Adjust the size, spacing and line height of the text
- Alter the contrast, colours and saturation
- Navigate the majority of the site using only a keyboard
This is achieved using the free website accessibility widget provided by a dedicated accessibility server and allows Ellesmere Town Council to increase their compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) insert link to Guidelines (https://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG21/).
Ellesmere Town Council continues its efforts to constantly improve the accessibility to its website however, despite our efforts some content is not fully compliant, and some pages remain non-accessible. If you require information in a different format please contact us and tell us the web address of the content and the format required for the information.
We’re always looking to improve this website’s accessibility. If you wish to report an accessibility issue, have any questions or need assistance, please contact Ellesmere Town Council on admin@ellesmere-tc.gov.uk and we will be happy to assist.
